Note on Allah's Names
Islamic scholars note that Allah has more than 99 names. The Quran and authentic Hadith mention many names and attributes of Allah beyond these 99. However, these specific 99 names are known as "Asma'ul Husna" (The Most Beautiful Names) and hold special significance as mentioned in the Hadith above. Scholars like Imam Ibn Taymiyyah and Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah have explained that Allah's names are not limited to 99, but these are the ones specifically enumerated and emphasized for believers to learn and understand.
