بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
تَبَّتْ يَدَآ أَبِى لَهَبٍ وَتَبَّ
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he.
Transliteration
Tabbat yada abee lahabin watabba
مَآ أَغْنَىٰ عَنْهُ مَالُهُۥ وَمَا كَسَبَ
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained.
Transliteration
Ma aghna AAanhu maluhu wama kasaba
سَيَصْلَىٰ نَارًا ذَاتَ لَهَبٍ
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame
Transliteration
Sayasla naran thata lahabin
وَٱمْرَأَتُهُۥ حَمَّالَةَ ٱلْحَطَبِ
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood.
Transliteration
Waimraatuhu hammalata alhatabi
فِى جِيدِهَا حَبْلٌ مِّن مَّسَدٍۭ
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber.
Transliteration
Fee jeediha hablun min masadin
Chapter 111
May the hands of Abu Lahab be ruined, and ruined is he. [1]
His wealth will not avail him or that which he gained. [2]
He will [enter to] burn in a Fire of [blazing] flame [3]
And his wife [as well] - the carrier of firewood. [4]
Around her neck is a rope of [twisted] fiber. [5]
