By those [winds] sent forth in gusts ^[1]

And the winds that blow violently ^[2]

And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] ^[3]

And those [angels] who bring criterion ^[4]

And those [angels] who deliver a message ^[5]

As justification or warning, ^[6]

Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. ^[7]

So when the stars are obliterated ^[8]

And when the heaven is opened ^[9]

And when the mountains are blown away ^[10]

And when the messengers' time has come... ^[11]

For what Day was it postponed? ^[12]

For the Day of Judgement. ^[13]

And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? ^[14]

Woe, that Day, to the deniers. ^[15]

Did We not destroy the former peoples? ^[16]

Then We will follow them with the later ones. ^[17]

Thus do We deal with the criminals. ^[18]

Woe, that Day, to the deniers. ^[19]

Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? ^[20]
