ุจูุณูู ู ุงูููููู ุงูุฑููุญูู ููฐูู ุงูุฑููุญููู ู
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
ูููู ุฃูุชูููฐูู ุญูุฏููุซู ูฑููุบูููฐุดูููุฉู
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]?
Transliteration
Hal ataka hadeethu alghashiyati
ููุฌูููู ููููู ูุฆูุฐู ุฎูููฐุดูุนูุฉู
[Some] faces, that Day, will be humbled,
Transliteration
Wujoohun yawmaithin khashiAAatun
ุนูุงู ูููุฉู ูููุงุตูุจูุฉู
Working [hard] and exhausted.
Transliteration
AAamilatun nasibatun
ุชูุตูููููฐ ููุงุฑูุง ุญูุงู ูููุฉู
They will [enter to] burn in an intensely hot Fire.
Transliteration
Tasla naran hamiyatan
ุชูุณูููููฐ ู ููู ุนููููู ุกูุงููููุฉู
They will be given drink from a boiling spring.
Transliteration
Tusqa min AAaynin aniyatin
ูููููุณู ููููู ู ุทูุนูุงู ู ุฅููููุง ู ูู ุถูุฑููุนู
For them there will be no food except from a poisonous, thorny plant
Transliteration
Laysa lahum taAAamun illa min dareeAAin
ูููุง ููุณูู ููู ููููุง ููุบูููู ู ูู ุฌููุนู
Which neither nourishes nor avails against hunger.
Transliteration
La yusminu wala yughnee min jooAAin
ููุฌูููู ููููู ูุฆูุฐู ูููุงุนูู ูุฉู
[Other] faces, that Day, will show pleasure.
Transliteration
Wujoohun yawmaithin naAAimatun
ูููุณูุนูููููุง ุฑูุงุถูููุฉู
With their effort [they are] satisfied
Transliteration
LisaAAyiha radiyatun
ููู ุฌููููุฉู ุนูุงููููุฉู
In an elevated garden,
Transliteration
Fee jannatin AAaliyatin
ูููุง ุชูุณูู ูุนู ูููููุง ููููฐุบูููุฉู
Wherein they will hear no unsuitable speech.
Transliteration
La tasmaAAu feeha laghiyatan
ูููููุง ุนููููู ุฌูุงุฑูููุฉู
Within it is a flowing spring.
Transliteration
Feeha AAaynun jariyatun
ูููููุง ุณูุฑูุฑู ู ููุฑููููุนูุฉู
Within it are couches raised high
Transliteration
Feeha sururun marfooAAatun
ููุฃูููููุงุจู ู ููููุถููุนูุฉู
And cups put in place
Transliteration
Waakwabun mawdooAAatun
ููููู ูุงุฑููู ู ูุตููููููุฉู
And cushions lined up
Transliteration
Wanamariqu masfoofatun
ููุฒูุฑูุงุจูููู ู ูุจูุซููุซูุฉู
And carpets spread around.
Transliteration
Wazarabiyyu mabthoothatun
ุฃูููููุง ูููุธูุฑูููู ุฅูููู ูฑููุฅูุจููู ูููููู ุฎูููููุชู
Then do they not look at the camels - how they are created?
Transliteration
Afala yanthuroona ila alibili kayfa khuliqat
ููุฅูููู ูฑูุณููู ูุงูุกู ูููููู ุฑูููุนูุชู
And at the sky - how it is raised?
Transliteration
Waila alssamai kayfa rufiAAat
ููุฅูููู ูฑููุฌูุจูุงูู ูููููู ููุตูุจูุชู
And at the mountains - how they are erected?
Transliteration
Waila aljibali kayfa nusibat
ููุฅูููู ูฑููุฃูุฑูุถู ูููููู ุณูุทูุญูุชู
And at the earth - how it is spread out?
Transliteration
Waila alardi kayfa sutihat
ููุฐููููุฑู ุฅููููู ูุงู ุฃููุชู ู ูุฐููููุฑู
So remind, [O Muhammad]; you are only a reminder.
Transliteration
Fathakkir innama anta muthakkirun
ูููุณูุชู ุนูููููููู ุจูู ูุตูููุทูุฑู
You are not over them a controller.
Transliteration
Lasta AAalayhim bimusaytirin
ุฅููููุง ู ูู ุชููููููููฐ ููููููุฑู
However, he who turns away and disbelieves -
Transliteration
Illa man tawalla wakafara
ููููุนูุฐููุจููู ูฑูููููู ูฑููุนูุฐูุงุจู ูฑููุฃูููุจูุฑู
Then Allah will punish him with the greatest punishment.
Transliteration
FayuAAaththibuhu Allahu alAAathaba alakbara
ุฅูููู ุฅูููููููุงู ุฅูููุงุจูููู ู
Indeed, to Us is their return.
Transliteration
Inna ilayna iyabahum
ุซูู ูู ุฅูููู ุนูููููููุง ุญูุณูุงุจูููู
Then indeed, upon Us is their account.
Transliteration
Thumma inna AAalayna hisabahum
Chapter 88
Has there reached you the report of the Overwhelming [event]? [1]
