Indeed in that is a sign, but most of them were not to be believers. ^[121]

And indeed, your Lord - He is the Exalted in Might, the Merciful. ^[122]

'Aad denied the messengers ^[123]

When their brother Hud said to them, "Will you not fear Allah? ^[124]

Indeed, I am to you a trustworthy messenger. ^[125]

So fear Allah and obey me. ^[126]

And I do not ask you for it any payment. My payment is only from the Lord of the worlds. ^[127]

Do you construct on every elevation a sign, amusing yourselves, ^[128]

And take for yourselves palaces and fortresses that you might abide eternally? ^[129]

And when you strike, you strike as tyrants. ^[130]

So fear Allah and obey me. ^[131]

And fear He who provided you with that which you know, ^[132]

Provided you with grazing livestock and children ^[133]

And gardens and springs. ^[134]

Indeed, I fear for you the punishment of a terrible day." ^[135]

They said, "It is all the same to us whether you advise or are not of the advisors. ^[136]

This is not but the custom of the former peoples, ^[137]

And we are not to be punished." ^[138]
