بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَٰنِ الرَّحِيمِ

In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful

Chapter 55 : Verse 1

ٱلرَّحْمَـٰنُ

The Most Merciful

Transliteration

Alrrahmanu

Chapter 55 : Verse 2

عَلَّمَ ٱلْقُرْءَانَ

Taught the Qur'an,

Transliteration

AAallama alqurana

3
Chapter 55 : Verse 3

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ

Created man,

Transliteration

Khalaqa alinsana

4
Chapter 55 : Verse 4

عَلَّمَهُ ٱلْبَيَانَ

[And] taught him eloquence.

Transliteration

AAallamahu albayana

5
Chapter 55 : Verse 5

ٱلشَّمْسُ وَٱلْقَمَرُ بِحُسْبَانٍ

The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation,

Transliteration

Alshshamsu waalqamaru bihusbanin

Chapter 55 : Verse 6

وَٱلنَّجْمُ وَٱلشَّجَرُ يَسْجُدَانِ

And the stars and trees prostrate.

Transliteration

Waalnnajmu waalshshajaru yasjudani

Chapter 55 : Verse 7

وَٱلسَّمَآءَ رَفَعَهَا وَوَضَعَ ٱلْمِيزَانَ

And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance

Transliteration

Waalssamaa rafaAAaha wawadaAAa almeezana

8
Chapter 55 : Verse 8

أَلَّا تَطْغَوْا۟ فِى ٱلْمِيزَانِ

That you not transgress within the balance.

Transliteration

Alla tatghaw fee almeezani

Chapter 55 : Verse 9

وَأَقِيمُوا۟ ٱلْوَزْنَ بِٱلْقِسْطِ وَلَا تُخْسِرُوا۟ ٱلْمِيزَانَ

And establish weight in justice and do not make deficient the balance.

Transliteration

Waaqeemoo alwazna bialqisti wala tukhsiroo almeezana

Chapter 55 : Verse 10

وَٱلْأَرْضَ وَضَعَهَا لِلْأَنَامِ

And the earth He laid [out] for the creatures.

Transliteration

Waalarda wadaAAaha lilanami

Chapter 55 : Verse 11

فِيهَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَٱلنَّخْلُ ذَاتُ ٱلْأَكْمَامِ

Therein is fruit and palm trees having sheaths [of dates]

Transliteration

Feeha fakihatun waalnnakhlu thatu alakmami

Chapter 55 : Verse 12

وَٱلْحَبُّ ذُو ٱلْعَصْفِ وَٱلرَّيْحَانُ

And grain having husks and scented plants.

Transliteration

Waalhabbu thoo alAAasfi waalrrayhani

Chapter 55 : Verse 13

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 14

خَلَقَ ٱلْإِنسَـٰنَ مِن صَلْصَـٰلٍ كَٱلْفَخَّارِ

He created man from clay like [that of] pottery.

Transliteration

Khalaqa alinsana min salsalin kaalfakhkhari

Chapter 55 : Verse 15

وَخَلَقَ ٱلْجَآنَّ مِن مَّارِجٍ مِّن نَّارٍ

And He created the jinn from a smokeless flame of fire.

Transliteration

Wakhalaqa aljanna min marijin min narin

Chapter 55 : Verse 16

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 17

رَبُّ ٱلْمَشْرِقَيْنِ وَرَبُّ ٱلْمَغْرِبَيْنِ

[He is] Lord of the two sunrises and Lord of the two sunsets.

Transliteration

Rabbu almashriqayni warabbu almaghribayni

Chapter 55 : Verse 18

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 19

مَرَجَ ٱلْبَحْرَيْنِ يَلْتَقِيَانِ

He released the two seas, meeting [side by side];

Transliteration

Maraja albahrayni yaltaqiyani

20
Chapter 55 : Verse 20

بَيْنَهُمَا بَرْزَخٌ لَّا يَبْغِيَانِ

Between them is a barrier [so] neither of them transgresses.

Transliteration

Baynahuma barzakhun la yabghiyani

Chapter 55 : Verse 21

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 22

يَخْرُجُ مِنْهُمَا ٱللُّؤْلُؤُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

From both of them emerge pearl and coral.

Transliteration

Yakhruju minhuma alluluo waalmarjanu

Chapter 55 : Verse 23

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

24
Chapter 55 : Verse 24

وَلَهُ ٱلْجَوَارِ ٱلْمُنشَـَٔاتُ فِى ٱلْبَحْرِ كَٱلْأَعْلَـٰمِ

And to Him belong the ships [with sails] elevated in the sea like mountains.

Transliteration

Walahu aljawari almunshaatu fee albahri kaalaAAlami

Chapter 55 : Verse 25

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

26
Chapter 55 : Verse 26

كُلُّ مَنْ عَلَيْهَا فَانٍ

Everyone upon the earth will perish,

Transliteration

Kullu man AAalayha fanin

27
Chapter 55 : Verse 27

وَيَبْقَىٰ وَجْهُ رَبِّكَ ذُو ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ

And there will remain the Face of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

Transliteration

Wayabqa wajhu rabbika thoo aljalali waalikrami

Chapter 55 : Verse 28

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 29

يَسْـَٔلُهُۥ مَن فِى ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ ۚ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ هُوَ فِى شَأْنٍ

Whoever is within the heavens and earth asks Him; every day He is bringing about a matter.

Transliteration

Yasaluhu man fee alssamawati waalardi kulla yawmin huwa fee shanin

Chapter 55 : Verse 30

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 31

سَنَفْرُغُ لَكُمْ أَيُّهَ ٱلثَّقَلَانِ

We will attend to you, O prominent beings.

Transliteration

Sanafrughu lakum ayyuha alththaqalani

Chapter 55 : Verse 32

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 33

يَـٰمَعْشَرَ ٱلْجِنِّ وَٱلْإِنسِ إِنِ ٱسْتَطَعْتُمْ أَن تَنفُذُوا۟ مِنْ أَقْطَارِ ٱلسَّمَـٰوَٰتِ وَٱلْأَرْضِ فَٱنفُذُوا۟ ۚ لَا تَنفُذُونَ إِلَّا بِسُلْطَـٰنٍ

O company of jinn and mankind, if you are able to pass beyond the regions of the heavens and the earth, then pass. You will not pass except by authority [from Allah].

Transliteration

Ya maAAshara aljinni waalinsi ini istataAAtum an tanfuthoo min aqtari alssamawati waalardi faonfuthoo la tanfuthoona illa bisultanin

Chapter 55 : Verse 34

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

35
Chapter 55 : Verse 35

يُرْسَلُ عَلَيْكُمَا شُوَاظٌ مِّن نَّارٍ وَنُحَاسٌ فَلَا تَنتَصِرَانِ

There will be sent upon you a flame of fire and smoke, and you will not defend yourselves.

Transliteration

Yursalu AAalaykuma shuwathun min narin wanuhasun fala tantasirani

Chapter 55 : Verse 36

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

37
Chapter 55 : Verse 37

فَإِذَا ٱنشَقَّتِ ٱلسَّمَآءُ فَكَانَتْ وَرْدَةً كَٱلدِّهَانِ

And when the heaven is split open and becomes rose-colored like oil -

Transliteration

Faitha inshaqqati alssamao fakanat wardatan kaalddihani

Chapter 55 : Verse 38

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

39
Chapter 55 : Verse 39

فَيَوْمَئِذٍ لَّا يُسْـَٔلُ عَن ذَنۢبِهِۦٓ إِنسٌ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

Then on that Day none will be asked about his sin among men or jinn.

Transliteration

Fayawmaithin la yusalu AAan thanbihi insun wala jannun

Chapter 55 : Verse 40

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 41

يُعْرَفُ ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ بِسِيمَـٰهُمْ فَيُؤْخَذُ بِٱلنَّوَٰصِى وَٱلْأَقْدَامِ

The criminals will be known by their marks, and they will be seized by the forelocks and the feet.

Transliteration

YuAArafu almujrimoona biseemahum fayukhathu bialnnawasee waalaqdami

Chapter 55 : Verse 42

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

43
Chapter 55 : Verse 43

هَـٰذِهِۦ جَهَنَّمُ ٱلَّتِى يُكَذِّبُ بِهَا ٱلْمُجْرِمُونَ

This is Hell, which the criminals deny.

Transliteration

Hathihi jahannamu allatee yukaththibu biha almujrimoona

Chapter 55 : Verse 44

يَطُوفُونَ بَيْنَهَا وَبَيْنَ حَمِيمٍ ءَانٍ

They will go around between it and scalding water, heated [to the utmost degree].

Transliteration

Yatoofoona baynaha wabayna hameemin anin

Chapter 55 : Verse 45

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

46
Chapter 55 : Verse 46

وَلِمَنْ خَافَ مَقَامَ رَبِّهِۦ جَنَّتَانِ

But for he who has feared the position of his Lord are two gardens -

Transliteration

Waliman khafa maqama rabbihi jannatani

Chapter 55 : Verse 47

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 48

ذَوَاتَآ أَفْنَانٍ

Having [spreading] branches.

Transliteration

Thawata afnanin

Chapter 55 : Verse 49

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 50

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ تَجْرِيَانِ

In both of them are two springs, flowing.

Transliteration

Feehima AAaynani tajriyani

Chapter 55 : Verse 51

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 52

فِيهِمَا مِن كُلِّ فَـٰكِهَةٍ زَوْجَانِ

In both of them are of every fruit, two kinds.

Transliteration

Feehima min kulli fakihatin zawjani

Chapter 55 : Verse 53

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 54

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ فُرُشٍۭ بَطَآئِنُهَا مِنْ إِسْتَبْرَقٍ ۚ وَجَنَى ٱلْجَنَّتَيْنِ دَانٍ

[They are] reclining on beds whose linings are of silk brocade, and the fruit of the two gardens is hanging low.

Transliteration

Muttakieena AAala furushin batainuha min istabraqin wajana aljannatayni danin

Chapter 55 : Verse 55

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

56
Chapter 55 : Verse 56

فِيهِنَّ قَـٰصِرَٰتُ ٱلطَّرْفِ لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

In them are women limiting [their] glances, untouched before them by man or jinni -

Transliteration

Feehinna qasiratu alttarfi lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jannun

Chapter 55 : Verse 57

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

58
Chapter 55 : Verse 58

كَأَنَّهُنَّ ٱلْيَاقُوتُ وَٱلْمَرْجَانُ

As if they were rubies and coral.

Transliteration

Kaannahunna alyaqootu waalmarjanu

59
Chapter 55 : Verse 59

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

60
Chapter 55 : Verse 60

هَلْ جَزَآءُ ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنِ إِلَّا ٱلْإِحْسَـٰنُ

Is the reward for good [anything] but good?

Transliteration

Hal jazao alihsani illa alihsanu

Chapter 55 : Verse 61

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 62

وَمِن دُونِهِمَا جَنَّتَانِ

And below them both [in excellence] are two [other] gardens -

Transliteration

Wamin doonihima jannatani

63
Chapter 55 : Verse 63

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

64
Chapter 55 : Verse 64

مُدْهَآمَّتَانِ

Dark green [in color].

Transliteration

Mudhammatani

65
Chapter 55 : Verse 65

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

66
Chapter 55 : Verse 66

فِيهِمَا عَيْنَانِ نَضَّاخَتَانِ

In both of them are two springs, spouting.

Transliteration

Feehima AAaynani naddakhatani

67
Chapter 55 : Verse 67

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

68
Chapter 55 : Verse 68

فِيهِمَا فَـٰكِهَةٌ وَنَخْلٌ وَرُمَّانٌ

In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates.

Transliteration

Feehima fakihatun wanakhlun warummanun

Chapter 55 : Verse 69

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

70
Chapter 55 : Verse 70

فِيهِنَّ خَيْرَٰتٌ حِسَانٌ

In them are good and beautiful women -

Transliteration

Feehinna khayratun hisanun

Chapter 55 : Verse 71

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

72
Chapter 55 : Verse 72

حُورٌ مَّقْصُورَٰتٌ فِى ٱلْخِيَامِ

Fair ones reserved in pavilions -

Transliteration

Hoorun maqsooratun fee alkhiyami

Chapter 55 : Verse 73

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

74
Chapter 55 : Verse 74

لَمْ يَطْمِثْهُنَّ إِنسٌ قَبْلَهُمْ وَلَا جَآنٌّ

Untouched before them by man or jinni -

Transliteration

Lam yatmithhunna insun qablahum wala jannun

Chapter 55 : Verse 75

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? -

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 76

مُتَّكِـِٔينَ عَلَىٰ رَفْرَفٍ خُضْرٍ وَعَبْقَرِىٍّ حِسَانٍ

Reclining on green cushions and beautiful fine carpets.

Transliteration

Muttakieena AAala rafrafin khudrin waAAabqariyyin hisanin

Chapter 55 : Verse 77

فَبِأَىِّ ءَالَآءِ رَبِّكُمَا تُكَذِّبَانِ

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny?

Transliteration

Fabiayyi alai rabbikuma tukaththibani

Chapter 55 : Verse 78

تَبَـٰرَكَ ٱسْمُ رَبِّكَ ذِى ٱلْجَلَـٰلِ وَٱلْإِكْرَامِ

Blessed is the name of your Lord, Owner of Majesty and Honor.

Transliteration

Tabaraka ismu rabbika thee aljalali waalikrami

Chapter 55

The Most Merciful [1]

Taught the Qur'an, [2]

Created man, [3]

[And] taught him eloquence. [4]

The sun and the moon [move] by precise calculation, [5]

And the stars and trees prostrate. [6]

And the heaven He raised and imposed the balance [7]

That you not transgress within the balance. [8]

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? [65]

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? [67]

In both of them are fruit and palm trees and pomegranates. [68]

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? [69]

In them are good and beautiful women - [70]

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - [71]

Fair ones reserved in pavilions - [72]

So which of the favors of your Lord would you deny? - [73]
